Hue's There?

I’m back! :D It’s so great that you’re still here! Ok now we were talking about color right? Well first of all color has many properties and one of them is Hue.

Hue means how much a color is red, yellow, green or blue. The hue will give us the reigning color within our chosen color. But we must know that color also creates a very subtle temperature and so with this temperature we can classify colors within the warmer ones and the cooler ones.

Those colors that have more yellow and red within them are known as the warm colors. Warm colors have a more motivating effect on people and are more stimulating. Also warm colors create an effect of enhancement and create closeness to the colored object.

Those colors that have more blue and green within them are known as the cool colors.  Cool colors have are more relaxing effect on people and are more calming. Also cool colors can create an effect of shrinking and they help generate visual remoteness within the viewer and the colored object.

But why is all this important to us and creating masks? Well basically because we need to know what we want to do maybe attract people to us by looking more close and appealing or by looking more remote and elite. Color helps us create all that. However not every color is suitable for every one of us. And here is where so many people panic.

Because which color should I pick to put on!?
Well that all depends on our own personal color properties. Yes people have color properties too. And according to those properties we can choose the best color to rock on the scene.

So then warm people are those who are best suited within warm colors and cool people are best suited in cool ones. How we differentiate them both? Easy as well as there are coke people there are pepsi people, and just like that we can look closely and see our colors to realize into which team we belong.
We have to look at three things, skin, eyes, and hair (natural color of course). And so we can determine which color is best suited for us by scoring points in each group and counting in the end.
The warm eyes are those eyes with more yellow in them. You will score in this group if your eyes are: hazel, brown or green.
The cool eyes are those eyes with more blue in them. You will score in this group if your eyes are: blue, gray or black.
Having checked on the eyes you have set one point, next point is the hair. Your natural hair color will help define your best colors.

The warm hair is the one with more golden or auburn in it. You will score in this group if your hair is: Golden Blonde, Strawberry Blonde, Auburn, Chestnut or Brown.
The cool hair is the one with more silver or black in it. You will score in this group if your hair is: Platinum Blonde, Ash Blonde, Dark Brown, Black / Brown or Jet Black.

So far we have two checked the final check is on skin.

The warm skin is the one that is more yellow. You will score in this group if your skin:  gets golden tan or bronzed tan. Also this skin reveals a more orange / yellow color within the hand grasp.
The cool skin is the one that is more pink. You will score in this group if your skin: burns under the sun but doesn’t shine with tan. Also this skin reveals more white / pink (or even red) within the hand grasp.

After all these checks you can realize if your colors are warm or cool and so pick the colors to look your best. Why is this important? Because if you are a cool person and you want to wear an orange color, you can pick the color that is closer to the cool zone to minimize the damage. Just the same happens on the opposite way, wanting a cool color while being a warm person.
It is kind of hard to get the grasp but with a bit of practice you will master it in no time I’m sure of it. However that’s not all there is on color, let me grab a snack and I’ll be right back. This is so cool, we’re starting on the basis of creating masks. Hang on there!
