Hue's There?

I’m back! :D It’s so great that you’re still here! Ok now we were talking about color right? Well first of all color has many properties and one of them is Hue.

Hue means how much a color is red, yellow, green or blue. The hue will give us the reigning color within our chosen color. But we must know that color also creates a very subtle temperature and so with this temperature we can classify colors within the warmer ones and the cooler ones.

Those colors that have more yellow and red within them are known as the warm colors. Warm colors have a more motivating effect on people and are more stimulating. Also warm colors create an effect of enhancement and create closeness to the colored object.

Those colors that have more blue and green within them are known as the cool colors.  Cool colors have are more relaxing effect on people and are more calming. Also cool colors can create an effect of shrinking and they help generate visual remoteness within the viewer and the colored object.

But why is all this important to us and creating masks? Well basically because we need to know what we want to do maybe attract people to us by looking more close and appealing or by looking more remote and elite. Color helps us create all that. However not every color is suitable for every one of us. And here is where so many people panic.

Because which color should I pick to put on!?
Well that all depends on our own personal color properties. Yes people have color properties too. And according to those properties we can choose the best color to rock on the scene.

So then warm people are those who are best suited within warm colors and cool people are best suited in cool ones. How we differentiate them both? Easy as well as there are coke people there are pepsi people, and just like that we can look closely and see our colors to realize into which team we belong.
We have to look at three things, skin, eyes, and hair (natural color of course). And so we can determine which color is best suited for us by scoring points in each group and counting in the end.
The warm eyes are those eyes with more yellow in them. You will score in this group if your eyes are: hazel, brown or green.
The cool eyes are those eyes with more blue in them. You will score in this group if your eyes are: blue, gray or black.
Having checked on the eyes you have set one point, next point is the hair. Your natural hair color will help define your best colors.

The warm hair is the one with more golden or auburn in it. You will score in this group if your hair is: Golden Blonde, Strawberry Blonde, Auburn, Chestnut or Brown.
The cool hair is the one with more silver or black in it. You will score in this group if your hair is: Platinum Blonde, Ash Blonde, Dark Brown, Black / Brown or Jet Black.

So far we have two checked the final check is on skin.

The warm skin is the one that is more yellow. You will score in this group if your skin:  gets golden tan or bronzed tan. Also this skin reveals a more orange / yellow color within the hand grasp.
The cool skin is the one that is more pink. You will score in this group if your skin: burns under the sun but doesn’t shine with tan. Also this skin reveals more white / pink (or even red) within the hand grasp.

After all these checks you can realize if your colors are warm or cool and so pick the colors to look your best. Why is this important? Because if you are a cool person and you want to wear an orange color, you can pick the color that is closer to the cool zone to minimize the damage. Just the same happens on the opposite way, wanting a cool color while being a warm person.
It is kind of hard to get the grasp but with a bit of practice you will master it in no time I’m sure of it. However that’s not all there is on color, let me grab a snack and I’ll be right back. This is so cool, we’re starting on the basis of creating masks. Hang on there!

About Sight ... Entrance Into Colour

Hehe, seems someone is still dancing around :) that’s so great to notice. Follow me to the corner, your dancing partner can wait a little, there’s something I want to tell you.

Remember what I said a while ago? About us creating masks? Good, well I want to share with you the basics of how to create them. I already told you that the perfect masks bewitches all five senses, so how to make one? Pretty easy actually, in order to understand it we have to take sense by sense though. So, first of all, let’s take on the sight.

Most people heavily rely on what they see and acknowledge it at truth, that’s why sight is the first sense we’ll smash up. There are several tricks on this sense we have: color, shapes and light. We should start up with color because is the easiest way to understand them all.

Color is basically a reflection of light on an object, if there is no light, color can’t be perceived. Then again there are two kinds of color, the color known as light and the one known as pigment. Both colors are quite different, light color is produced by a ray of light smashed out into color after crossing a material, when pigment color is the color that an object has already. Bit confusing, I know, let me put it on an easier way, u can differentiate them both because when u mix light colors the mix will become a white light, contraire to what happens when you mix pigment colors because they turn black.

We will focus mostly on pigment color because, well, it’s more common to control the pigment colors we have close, in paint, clothing, make up, hair dye, and other things like that. And why do we want to control color? Well because color has properties that affect us and the way we look, therefor it is imperative that if we want to look good, we have to be aware of the colors that we choose. Such colors might help us look better or worse depending on the way we want to look.

Ok, this is very important, people usually wear the color that they like because it’s their favorite, however it might not be the best choice and not really helping them at all. Other people a bit cleverer pick up the colors they wear based on the psychology of color because they know that color says things, and they want the color they wear to say what they want. That is pretty much truth, however based on their personal color properties they might select a color rather dangerous, and by dangerous I mean a color that instead of help them look better, makes them look terrible. Yes the color does say things, but picking up the right color is of absolute importance in order to look the way we want.

Color has three columns in which it is supported, such columns are: Hue, Tone and Chroma. Those three properties will let us know how to pick up the right colors for ourselves, because just like color, we also have color properties they will let us know a thing each one: Hue will let us know which pure colors suits us best, Tone will let us know the lightness or darkness of the colors we should pick, and Chroma the intensity of the color.

Now, how to pick the exact colors to look amazing? Sit down darling, I’ll go get a drink and then I’ll come back to tell u exactly how. Hang on there.

The Dancing Continues [... Final Introductions]

Oh! Hello, there! Still in the ball?

How wonderful, things are just about to get interesting. But before we begin some last why's and how's.

As a very common question, why should we manage our image?

Well, it is very simple, we all have goals in this life and image is one of our tools to achieve our goals. So the reason to manage our image or to have an image manager is to be better prepared to get our hands on our goals.
We need to manage our image as long as we need to make our dreams come true. How much do we want that to happen? That’s the answer on why manage our image.

Then, based on what can you manage image?

Now, an extremely important question to answer: Where do we begin? Managing image is very connected to the person whose image is being transformed. Therefore the base to build a good image is the person itself. Knowing who the person is and what that individual wants, gives us solid ground to scheme the structure of the image. The more we know the person, the stronger the working ground will become and with that the mightier the image we create.

Some may ask: How do we get to know an individual? That’s easy, we’ll ask a little help from psychology, and define what makes a person different: The Personality. Based on what makes a person unique we can define a strong concept to build the whole image.

Well, we shall get back into those deep waters later.

So how do you manage Image?

Now, the real fun begins when the time to create an image arrives. After we have the scheme to follow, we proceed to generate the stimulation needed. This stimulation has to go through all the senses so the receivers can picture in their minds the image we want them to picture.
Therefore our stimulation has to go directed to the 5 senses: Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch and Taste.

Mixing them in the correct way will give us the desired image.

Hear the symphonic orchestra above your heads, starting to beat the drums and picking up the speed as the horns sound soars the room, the time has come to begin unraveling secrets.

Hello! [... About Image] Welcome To The Masquerade!

Hi everyone!

My name is Martin, I'm an image manager who is specialized on relationship development and the use of image during the course of relationships.

I would like to share with you some of the things I have realized about image so far that, well, they have been quite revealing and it seems important for me to share it with you all.

First of all … What is image?

While many people would say that image is what we see from day to day in real life. Other might say it is what we see on television, a movie screen or even a computer. While yet others may think it is what we see printed in magazines or newspapers. For those of us who study image, we have learned that contrary to what most people think, image does not exists in the material world, rather, image is something that exists on the mental realm, this is truly where image resides.
Therefore image is a mental representation of what we perceive of the world.

Image, in simple words, is what we picture in our minds of anything that exists in the world.

And how does our mind creates images?

Well, our mind receives information that is captured by our senses and then it's processed in our heads to create images, so basically, what we see, hear, taste, smell and feel will become an image in our mind, and based on those images is the way we will react and act on the world.

Okay, so now we've established that image resides within our minds, then what is Image Management?

Image Management is the art of taking care of all the stimulation we release to to create a positive image of something. When we can control that stimulation we can send an image that other people will perceive and create an image of us that we want them to have.

That is how social masks are created. Everyone is always creating masks for themselves. They create them on how they want to be perceived. Slowly society becomes a big, eternal and wonderful masquerade ball in which we all turn and dance with other masks to the rhythm of the music.

Now, allow me to invite you to come with me, on a journey to unravel some of our masks, and maybe even create a few new amazing ones for ourselves...Welcome to The Bal Masqué!
